Nomadic Matt's Books & Guides
My New York Times best-selling book was called “the bible for budget travelers” by the BBC and will teach you how to master the art of travel so you save money, get off the beaten path, and have a more local, richer travel experience, no matter your destination or length of visit.
This books takes the information on this website and super charges it going into much more detail and featuring tips, tricks, and country by country breakdowns never talked about here on the blog. It condenses over fifteen years of travel into one easy reference guide. If you're looking for an A to Z guide to show you how to plan your trip like a pro, this book is it!
The book is my memoir on my ten years traveling and backpacking the world and the lessons I learned from that. It follows the arc of a trip around the world: getting the bug, the planning, setting off, the highs, the lows, the friendships made, relationships forged (and lost), the emotions you feel when it's all over.
Unlike my previous books, this is not a “how to guide” but a collection of insights, advice, and stories from the road conveying the experience of what it's like to quit your job, take the road not taken, and travel the world trying to discover who you are and what the world has to offer. In short, it is my opus on travel meant to inspire you to persue your own dreams.
I've written a few destination guidebooks that will help you travel cheaper, better, and smarter. Unlike other guidebooks, these guides are specifically written for budget travelers! They contain detailed tips, advice, and insider information so you can get off the beaten path, away from the crowds, and safe money when you travel! Straight to the point, no fluff!
